PENSIVE SOUND DESIGN.
We open with a MYSTERIOUS MAN. It's Billy Connolly!




WIDE SHOT: The man leads an FBI FIELD TEAM with search dogs across a vast blanket of ice.
We hear a FEMALE AGENT's voice: "Gather around!"



The FEMALE AGENT is Amanda Peet. She is SPECIAL AGENT DAKOTA WHITNEY.
She hollers again, "Gather around!"*



The MAN is sure of something. "It's here."



The FBI TEAM advances.



A helicopter hovers in the background behind them.






He's more persistent this time. "It's here!"



We JUMP CUT to a WOMAN'S BODY being dragged along the ice at night.



We JUMP CUT to DANA SCULLY.  The music swells, with good reason.



Back to a wider shot of the FBI FIELD TEAM. In the foreground are POLICE ON HORSES overlooking the proceedings.



Above ground level, someone in the HELICOPTER points to something in the ice.



Picking up the pace now, the field team surges forward.






JUMP CUT to a medical procedure.
This looks like an autopsy. Are those doctors wearing chemical protection masks?


A MYSTERIOUS MAN overlooks this autopsy proceeding.



INTERCUT WITH: Someone pulls an object, draped in a large black cloth, through the snow.




CUT back to the search.


The MAN drops to his knees.







JUMP CUT TO:
FOX MULDER in a car, being rammed by another car.
The crash shakes the camera violently.



The MUSIC reaches a high point now.
A chanting choir creates that sweet spot where the picture and sound meet.


With his hands, the MAN begins to claw frantically at the ice.


The FBI TEAM gathers around.



A hero shot of FOX MULDER running through a building with a large ceiling.



TWO MEN run towards a person moving in the immediate foreground.


TWO PEOPLE in a forest, possibly SCULLY, looking at something.


A MAN's head snaps back, as if convulsing. ANOTHER PERSON is holding him.
The person next to them them looks like they're trying to help.



A MAN running fast.


The camera swings past MULDER & SCULLY running on a wet, slick road at night.



A BALD MAN looks at the hand before him.
He has three deep scratches across his face.



A MAN, perhaps MULDER, drops to his knees at night in the snow.



Billy Connolly looks up, with BLEEDING EYES.



A WOMAN walks through the snow at night. Is it SCULLY?



AGENT WHITNEY is also digging with her hands now.



A WOMAN is shocked violently by something. A cool shot.

Could this also be Amanda Peet, a.k.a. AGENT WHITNEY?


FOX MULDER looks out across a snowy location.


A man with SCARY EYES...

... submerges into water.





(Note: the silhouette is a person walking past in the auditorium)
AGENT WHITNEY's hand wipes away the snow, revealing A FACE beneath the frozen ice.


AGENT WHITNEY snaps back in horror. (Xzibit is to the right).



CUT TO BLACK.

Spooky.



Sweet.

*Addendum - AINTITCOOLNEWS reports slightly different dialogue: An FBI agent shouts, “Hold the line, gentlemen! Look left, look right! Hold the line!” before Amanda Peet's character hollers, "Give him room!"
